Our day at Áras an Uachtaráin

The 31 pupils from Killygarry N.S., Gaelscoil Bhreifne, Butlersbridge N.S. and Farnham N.S. had a fabulous day at Áras an Uachtaráin on Saturday. The children got to meet the President himself and his wife and they entertained all the guests with their fabulous music, who were there to see Daidí na Nollag. Each child got to see the first presidental car where Eamonn de Valera travelled in and the carriage that brough Sean T. O' Ceallaigh to his inauguration as second president of Ireland. Every child received a gift from Santa and got to see the Christmas tree being lit which was on the RTE news at 6pm and 9pm on Saturday evening. A wonderful day was had by all.
