SENIOR INFANTS

Last night we welcomed families to our school to have a look around our school for our Open Evening. Our sixth class pupils escorted our visitors around the school and the parents association helped us with the tea & coffee. Most of our school staff were here to talk to our visitors. Here are some photos of the school from our Open Evening.

We have had a busy and fun-filled September in Senior Infants! We continued our PE lessons with Pat on Thursdays, enjoying lots of games, movement and activities. We began learning all about Houses and Homes and brought our learning to life through our play. We explored different types of homes, played in our toy kitchen and even had lots of fun with The Three Little Pigs! We also enjoyed going on nature walks around our school grounds, looking closely at the changes happenin

The school will be hosting an Open Day for all new pupils and new families to the school on Thursday 1st of October 2026. The Open Day will commence with an address from the Principal, Emer from Laochra Academy, Aiden from Cavan County Produce and Damien from the Parents Association at 7pm. The school will then be open to all parents to have a look around from 7:30-8:15pm and there will be tea/coffee and some refreshments served. We look forward to seeing you there!

We have had another lovely week in Senior Infants! We were on our very best behaviour as we enjoyed some special time with our class mascot, Cuddles. We also had lots of fun in the playground, enjoying some fresh air, games and laughter with our friends. For Art, we got creative painting beautiful autumnal trees, using lots of warm and colourful autumn shades. We really enjoyed our Elevate lesson with Pat this week and we would like to thank Killygarry GAA for organising this
