All the staff, pupils and Board of Management of Killygarry National School would like to wish Killygarry Gaelic Football Club a very happy 60th birthday and we wish them well with their celebrations on Saturday night. Killygarry GFC has always been a great support to our school, giving us access to their indoor and outdoor facilities and last year they gave us a full set of Gaelic footballs for our school. Thank you for your support and happy birthday!

Well done to all the children who participated in the School Marathon last Friday at Killygarry N.S. A sincere word of thanks to all the parents and family members who sponsored the children. There was over €4000 raised and there is still money coming in. We are going to use the money to put in a shed to keep all our physical education equipment in. Some of the money will also be used to put in a poly tunnel at the back of the school so the children can learn to grow some

Well done to our wonderful Senior Infants on a fantastic Christmas show! The children performed two beautiful poems and two songs, and they did an amazing job. Their confidence, clear voices, and big smiles made the performance truly special. They made us all very proud.🌟

Senior Infants have been working towards a class reward of making slime. We had lots of fun!

Today we had a special visit from Santa Claus who arrived in a Fire Engine. He brought sweets and Christmas Annuals for the children, all provided by our wonderful Parents Association.

🎵 Music This week, Senior Infants had great fun decorating and making their own shakers using recyclable materials. Once they were ready, the children loved experimenting with the different sounds and shaking along to the music! 🎨 Visual Art In Art, the class explored the work of Alexander Calder and created their own colourful 3-D sculptures inspired by his style. Today we handed over 104 shoe boxes to the Team Hope Charity who deliver these special gifts to children across the world who are in need of something special this Christmas. Well done to all the families who participated in this every worthwhile charitable event.

The School Book Fair will arrive in the school on Monday 17th November and will finish up on Friday 21st of November. It will be open until 4:30pm on the Wednesday and Thursday for parents during the Parent Teacher Meetings. We appreciate your support as always!

There will be a clothing collection at the school on Thursday 13th of November. They accept pairs of shoes, handbags, belts, clothing and handbags. They do no accept duvets or pillows. You can leave your bags at the school gate each morning from Monday 10th to Thursday 13th of November. Thank you for your support.

Senior Infants really enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Have a nice break!

Senior Infants have been working on their throwing and catching skills. They practiced a lot in September using beanbags and have now moved on to using tennis balls.
