School Book Fair
The School Book Fair will arrive in the school on Monday 17th November and will finish up on Friday 21st of November. It will be open until 4:30pm on the Wednesday and Thursday for parents during the Parent Teacher Meetings. We appreciate your support as always!

Cash for Clobber Clothing Collection
There will be a clothing collection at the school on Thursday 13th of November. They accept pairs of shoes, handbags, belts, clothing and handbags. They do no accept duvets or pillows. You can leave your bags at the school gate each morning from Monday 10th to Thursday 13th of November. Thank you for your support.

Cross-Country Running
Congratulations to the 36 pupils who participated in the Cross-Country Running Competition last Wednesday in Killinkere. The children did incredibly well with Aisling in 5th class coming home with a gold individual medal and our senior girl's team winning gold also, a first time achievement for our school. Halloween Swap Shop
Our sixth class pupils are organising a fundraiser to raise money to purchase Leaver Hoodies for their class. They are looking for families to donate their used Halloween Costumes and they will sell them in the school on the 16th of October for €5 each. Please drop in any costumes to the school on the 13th to 15th of October and thank you for your support.

Killygarry National School will be accepting applications for enrolment from Monday 6th of October to Friday the 24th of October online through our school website or using the QR Code below. Applications will open from 9am on Monday 6th of October.

Skipping and Ice Cream
All the children had a great day on Thursday as they participated in a Skipping Workshop organised by Ms. Wynne and funded from money raised last year by the School Marathon. We ended the day with an ice cream or a slushie in the 25C sunshine.

Pat Ryan Tournament Winners
Well done to the second and third class boys who participated in the Pat Ryan Tournament on the 3G pitch at Breffni Park yesterday. The boys won all their matches and brought home the Pat Ryan 7 Aside Perpetual Shield which they also won back in 2014, 11 years ago. Pat Ryan was the Principal of St. Felim's N.S. in Cavan and every year St. Felim's N.S. organise this tournament in memory of Mr. Ryan. Music on Wheels 2025
Today we had a great celebration of music at the school with our Music Generation Tin Whistle players, our School Trad Group who performed in Arás an Uachtaráin in December, EibhlÃn on Guitar, Faolán on the fiddle, Willow on Electric Guitar, Clara doing some Irish Dancing and Danielis and Kajetan telling us a few jokes. Easter Egg Raffle and Parents Association Prizes
Well done to all the children who won an Easter Egg in their class raffle and to Patrick in Senior Infants who won the Easter Egg Hamper. Congratulations to the five children who won an Easter Egg and a voucher for Café Mana, Smith's Diner or Cavan Swimming Pool for raising so much money in the Parents Association Sponsored Walk. The school raised €280 for Unicef last week with our colourful Friendship Day so well do everyone who supported it too.

Easter Egg Raffle
Glanmore Foods, who provides our Hot School Meals, donated an Easter Egg Hamper for an Easter Raffle in the school. SuperValu in Cavan donated 8 Easter Eggs for our Raffle also. We wish to thank Niall from Glanmore and Daniel (Kajetan's dad) from SuperValu for their generous donations. The Parents Association will be holding their annual sponsored walk on Sunday 6th of April at 11am in Killygarry GAA Grounds. Ash Wednesday
Today we celebrated Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, in the school with a prayer service in the GP room. Fr. Mac Gabhann gave us some blessed ashes which we blessed the children with. The Prayer Service was organised by our two Assistant Principals, Ms. O'Neill and Mrs. Mc Caughey.

Shrove Tuesday - Pancake Day
All the pupils in the school got to make, decorate and eat pancakes for Shrove Tuesday in the school. Ms. White and Ms. O'Neill made the pancakes in their own classrooms and Mrs. Keogh, Mrs. Mc Cabe and Mr. Lynch made pancakes for the rest of the pupils in the kitchen and GP room.
