Here is an introduction to the Laochra Academy Staff who are working in the Breakfast and After-School Club in Killygarry N.S.
Emma Nolan is an enthusiastic, out-going young lady who has completed her Level 6 in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2022 and is eager to gain experience in a structured childcare setting. She has a ‘firm but fair’ manner with the children and builds a lovely respectful relationship with the children in her care.
My name is Emer McVeety and I am a primary school teacher with over 11 years teaching experience. I completed a Masters in Leadership and Management in DCU 2018, for which I have had my research on child voice published. I have successfully established Easter and Summer Camps as well as after school fitness clubs in my previous schools in Dublin. I am so excited to use my teaching background and my core values surrounding child voice, to design and implement interesting and engaging activities for the children of Killygarry NS each day.
Danielle Sherry is a kind and caring lady who truly loves spending time with children. She completed her degree in Children and Young People in Care earlier this year and she places a strong emphasis on understanding each individual child. She has ample experience of working with children of all abilities in her previous role as deputy manager in a children’s residential home.
If you have infants and older children in the school and wish to save yourself having to collect twice, after-school care is available for the hour after the infants go home for a very reasonable price
