Ó hócaí pócaí! We did a performance for the Irish concert at school. This was to mark Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish week)

Chan rang a ceathair Amhrán na gCupáin le haighaidh an cheolchoirm inniu. Bhí siad go h-iontach!

4th class are playing board games each afternoon this week as part of their oral language homework. They have to explain the rules and object of a game of their choice and then play it with their classmates.

This week in maths, we focused on measurements. We discussed what containers holds more/holds less. We measured the length of various items using interlocking cubes. We coloured by sight words. We made our very own leprechauns. Children presented their creations made at home for oral language. We loved hearing about all the different creations - drawings, board games, prints and constructions. Some pictures from play.

4th class got into the spirit of World Book Day and had great fun in their costumes!

Thank you to Kajetan who brought in yummy treats on Thursday 27th February. This was to celebrate the last day of feasting before Lent in Poland, similar to Shrove Tuesday in Ireland.

We made pancakes in our classroom today and had great fun smelling them being cooked by Miss O Neil! Yum yum!

Second class enjoyed a great hour in the Junior Infant room thanks to Mrs White and all her great resources.

Lot's of fantastic book characters were represented in 6th class this World Book Day. Well done to everyone for making such a great effort and showing off their creative skills. The class showed off their amazing outfits, spoke about their book and their character, took part in a book themed quiz and completed paired reading with second class. A very enjoyable day!

We had a lovely day today. First, each pupil introduced the book character they were dressed up as. In the afternoon, 5th class read our favourite books which we brought in from home.

First Class went for a walk around the school and used their “Maths Eyes” to find things related to Maths.
