Jurassic Park
Today we had an invasion of dinosaurs at Killygarry National School. They were enroute to Jurassic Park and arrived at the school to scare the teachers away!

Hallowe'en fun!
We had great fun today at school; starting with a video call with our Italian penpals for the first time this morning. We had a disco on the yard, we visited 6th class to see their amazing pumpkins, we played conkers and chess. We managed to fit in some treats and a party as well!

PE - Throwing and Catching
Senior Infants have been working on their throwing and catching skills. They practiced a lot in September using beanbags and have now moved on to using tennis balls.

Haunted Houses
Our Senior Infants have been busy constructing art over the past two weeks. They had some help from children in 5th class. Using recycled cardboard, they designed and built their very own houses. Some children worked together in groups. Everyone had different ideas, some colourful, some cosy, and a few that are even a little spooky! Look at their wonderful creations.

Loreto Blitz
Well done to all the girls who participated in the Loreto Gaelic Football Blitz on Wednesday 17th of September on the 3G pitch at Breffni Park. The team played great and reached the final but were marginally beaten in the end. Thank you to Ms. Mc Mahon for accompanying the team to this blitz and to the TY students in Loreto for organising this fantastic event.

Cross-Country Running
Congratulations to the 36 pupils who participated in the Cross-Country Running Competition last Wednesday in Killinkere. The children did incredibly well with Aisling in 5th class coming home with a gold individual medal and our senior girl's team winning gold also, a first time achievement for our school. Halloween Swap Shop
Our sixth class pupils are organising a fundraiser to raise money to purchase Leaver Hoodies for their class. They are looking for families to donate their used Halloween Costumes and they will sell them in the school on the 16th of October for €5 each. Please drop in any costumes to the school on the 13th to 15th of October and thank you for your support.
