PAST EVENTS

Tin Whistle classes take place for 5th and 6th class pupils every Monday with Aishling as part of Music Generation.

The pupils will dress up as their favourite book character on World Book Day on Friday 6th of March.

Our school Chess teams will participate in the Ficheall Chess Tournament in Killygarry Community Centre all day on the 5th of March. Other schools from across the county will be joining us on the day.

The Cumann na mBunscol Junior Quiz will take place in the Hotel Kilmore on the 4th of March from 7pm. This year there are two quizzes taking place - one for the junior teams and one for the senior teams.

The Confirmation Programme for all the sixth class pupils receiving the sacrament of Confirmation takes place in the Pastoral Centre at St. Patrick's College Cavan at 7pm on February 9th, 16th and 23rd and on March 2nd.

The fourth to sixth class pupils will be participating in the Peace Proms on Sunday 1st of March in the SSE Arena in Belfast. The bus will be departing the school at 8am sharp and we hope to leave Belfast around 3:30pm. We wish the children a wonderful day.

The second and fifth class pupils will participate in a 5 week programme of swimming lessons in Cavan Swimming Pool & Leisure Complex

The sixth class pupils will be attending the musical 'All Shook Up' in Breifne College Cavan on Wednesday 25th of February. The school will fund the bus and ticket prices from the money raised from the recent School Marathon.

The children celebrating their First Holy Communion will have their Special Mass in Lent on Sunday 22nd of February in the Cathedral.

The Speech & Drama Exams, from Kindergarten Grade 1 up to Grade 6, will take place in Killygarry N.S. on Wednesday 18th of February and they will be carried out by the Irish Board of Speech & Drama.

Boxercise for all pupils will take place in the school with Coach Borys for 6 weeks beginning on Monday 12th of January.
