Jane from the Andrew Greene Foundation visited our school today to speak to the fourth to sixth class pupils about how their money that they fundraised for the children of Haiti had been utilised. The children watched a Powerpoint Presentation and a short video clip which showed over 300 children attending their new school in Haiti. The sixth class pupils always give some of their money that they receive as a gift from family and friends when they celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation to the charity ‘Bothar’. This year the sixth class pupils have decided to give some of this money to the school in Haiti to allow the school to buy a set of football jerseys in the Killygarry colours. The school will probably do further fundraising later on in the year or early next year for this wonderful cause.
