Heart Words

As mentioned in the Homework Sheet this week, we have started working on Heart Words.

This approach to learning words with irregular spellings is more efficient than the 'Look and Say' method.

The Heart Words approach uses the phonic knowledge that the child already has and places the heart over the phoneme/sound that they need to learn off by heart.
