Garda Mounted Unit visit Killygarry N.S.

Last Thursday the Garda Mounted Unit, organised by Garda Seamus Herron, visited Killygarry National School.  This was such a special treat for all the children.  Mrs. Prior, School Principal, hopped up on one of the horses called Oscar.  Oscar is a dapple grey Irish Draught Horse who is over 17 hands high.  The black horse is 15 hands high.  The children from 1st to 5th class got to pet the horses and ask lots of questions.  A sincere word of thank to Seamus Herron for organising this special event.
