The whole school got to join in the celebrations today, with a post-match party in the Community Centre. We had speeches, presentation of certificates, drinks, crisps and ice-cream. A big thank you to Gerry Sheridan and Ice-Cream Treats for the free ice-cream and to Ann Reilly and Value-Centre Cash and Carry for the free drinks.
On May 14th 2015, 90 pupils and 7 teachers travelled to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin for the FAI schools all-Ireland 5-a-side finals. Representatives trom Spar Ireland came to the school on Tuesday the 12th May to present the boys’ soccer team with their jerseys for the forthcoming All-Ireland finals in the Aviva Stadium. All the Ulster teams will wear yellow jerseys on the day. They’re looking great and all set for the big day!
Killygarry school had the pleasure of hosting the Cavan County Spelling Bee this year. It was held in the Community Centre on May 12th and was attended by 19 schools from across the county. There was great excitement in Killygarry National School last Thursday when the boys’ team won the Ulster FAI medium schools soccer competition in Cootehill.
